griots polisher?

just wondering if anyone has used or has ny comments on it. i just got the catalog in th mail yesterday and saw they have their own branded polisher.. have not seen any write ups on it at all.
just curious how it stacks up against the porter cable etc...

Isn't it just a rebadged Porter Cable? Call and ask them.

It is about the same money as the PC, why not just get that or a UMD or the meguiars orbital, Not alot of reviews should tell you that it is not all that popular...

One reason I use Griot's products is they give you a life time warranty on any of the products they sell.

I use the Griots random orbital. It is the same as the porter cable. I've used both, with no difference in results. I agree, I believe they just contracted with PC and put their housing on the motor.

This is pretty much the same thing that they told me at Griot's when I bought mine a year ago. They are pretty much the same thing. I've used both as well....and I can't tell any diff at all.

I use Griot's polisher and like it a lot, I use the crap out of it. I have been very happy with all of the Griot's products. In fact I like their polisher so much I am going to buy their small 3" for getting into smaller places.

I've done a little research, and the p/c and Griot's are not the same. They are quite different. The Griot's has a much more powerful motor (6 amps vs 3.7 for the pc) and more rpm's (7000 vs 6000).
