Replacing Reverse Halogen bulb with LED

I recently changed the reverse light bulbs on my 2006 325xi with some 1156s. I know they are working because I can see them flicker when the lights turn on, but I still get errors and they do not turn on. I have seen people install LED and work right away.

Is it just that I need to code mine to get it to work?

You need to code out the warm and cold bulb checks.

Put the halogens back in.

Also verify polarity is correct.
