https://bmwtuning.co/bmw-n54-common-...20both%20banks. "N54 29E0 (10720) Fault Code Fuel mixture control 1 indicates you are having air/fuel (AFR) mix issues on bank 1 (cylinders 1-3). Fault code 29E0 can be a tuning related or hardware issue. Faulty O2 sensors may trigger fuel mixture control 1 codes. Fuel injectors are another common problem that triggers this code. If you’re getting this code along with 29E1 (fuel mixture control 2) then you’ve got AFR issues on both banks. It’s unlikely you have a hardware problem on bank 1 and bank 2. In other words, both codes combined likely indicate a tuning issue." Last edited by Saif2018; 04-16-2021 at 10:20 AM.. |

I will be replacing both pre-cat O2 sensors this weekend. If this doesn't work, I guess I will be taking advantage of my lifetime warranty on the index 12 injectors that probably don't have 40,000 miles on them 🤬 |

There was nothing wrong with the coils, but they had 40,000 on them so, I said what they heck. Used my lifetime warranty. Plugs only have 2,000 miles on them (NKG one step colder gapped at .022) No code yet. Time will tell |

I've been dealing with this same problem except for both banks 1 and 2 (two codes), running the same thing MHD 2+ V9.0. Coincidentally this started happening when I went catless and I put brand new O2 sensors as well.. however, I came to find out I have a damn exhaust leak between the turbo and downpipe, I changed the gasket and that didn't fix it so I'm assuming it's the V-Band clamp, also under boost I hear like a "wsh wsh" sound.
Could it be you're dealing with the same issue?

I just checked my lamda 1 & 2 AFR's in real time on a drive, and they both seemed to be with in spec. They fluctuate between high 13's and 15 on the hwy at 80mph. The is actually dip into the 12's when you accelerate onto the hwy. I think putting in new O2 sensors may have done the trick. MHD 9.0 is much smoother acceleration. I was hitting 19+ boost If replacing the O2 sensors didn't work, my impression is, from what I have read, the next step is to do a leak down test & or replace the injectors.. |

I have Index 12 Injectors, when I did do a smoke test though I did notice smoke coming out of the connection between the downpipe and turbo where my v-band clamp is, which is why I suspect it's the clamp since I replaced that paper gasket that sits between the downpipe and turbo. Yeah, MHD 9.0 is so much smoother and refined compared to 8.0, I'm hitting 19+ boost as well, feels amazing I've been hearing stuff about MHD 10.0 maps in beta right now, hopefully soon it'll be released for the public to use |

V-clamps can be a bitch to work with, and somewhat deceptive. I would encourage you to loosen up the mid-pipe connection and then rework the v-clamp. It's probably not on all the way. If you don't have OEM V-clamps, that might be the problem. |
