DSC not responding?
Hey guys,
I have an E87, but I believe that my request is not chassis specific, and your coding forum seems the most active. Pretty new to the whole coding endeavour. I have am E87 130i down here in Australia, that I run as a Production Touring racing car. The car remains mostly stock with the addition of safety stuff like a roll cage. Most of the factory control units remain (apart from those that have been completely removed like Airbag and HVAC). The car has been a race car most all it's life and as such as numerous different modules from various cars. I am now chasing some reliability issues during longer races (>1hr) and as such thought it best to code out things that show up as errors. I decided to first update modules and syncronize VINs across the board, so I was starting with the best base. This has turned into a bit of a problem . I updated the KOMBI daten software thing all OK, but when I tried for the DSC module, it got part way through and errored out. Now the windshield wipers run constantly, and I cannot access the module through any of the software. I also have numerous DSC communication errors from the various other modules such as footwell and engine. My question is, can someone give me a step-by-step to return the DSC to factory coding, so I can access it and start the process again, please? I understand that this is possible but I only encounter errors now when I attempt to do so in WinKFP. I have tried Google and forum searches, but all the tutorials and walk-through guides include buttons that are greyed out on my screen?
