Detailing Edge of Hood/3M Shield

Hey Guys,

I am wondering how everyone tapes off the 3M shield when they detail and how you clean the edge of the 3M if you get polish/wax product in there.

I got product on the edge, cleaned it out with a MF but it still left marks on the paint, the f'in paint is so fragile.

Any ideas, tools to use?

Thx.

I've always just kept my distance from the edge. In the event that I did get wax in there, I wiped it out immediately before it dried.
