Need a good wheel brush.

I've been searching high and low for a wheel brush that is both long and skinny enough to get past that metal plate behind the brakes. I got a brush off autogeek.net that gets back there, but it's pretty tight and gets a little stuck sometimes. I don't want to cause any damage.

Anyone know where to find a good utensil for this?

I would buy two; One for the face, and one for the inside of the wheels.

The best face brush is the Swissvax wheel brush by far. I use to use the Zymol wheel brush and it never lasted and always lost hairs, but the Swissvax will last forever.

For the inside of the wheel I like the EZdetail brush. You can use it by hand, or chop the handel off and hook it up to a drill like I did. When you hook it up to a drill, it will clean better and also faster, but you need to pay attention and make sure you do not hit any part of the wheel with the head of the drill, or the wond of the brush.

i just bought the EZ detail brush. i didnt have a wheel brush before so i was always cutting up my hands on brake discs...

i dont know why i didn't get this earlier! i love it!

I've read about a good alternative to the EZ detail brush. Buy one of those brushes used to clean out paint guns. They're very thin so it's easy to get into the wheel and bendable to get around spokes and brake discs. I never tried one, but it looks promising.

As for the face of the wheel, the swissvax brush is a good bet.

right now i'm using a wheelbrush from walmart. It works okay but splatters like crazy so i'm looking to buy an EZ Detail brush when i have more budget and a swissvax wheel brush later too

The EZ detail brush Splatters all over the place too. Don't wear nice clothes when using it!

damn! at least it looks like it'd clean better than mine right now. Mine's got a fat head but it's not very long

Maybe I'm just sloppy but mine splatters everywhere so I've learned to wear some safety glasses or goggle when I use the EZ Detail brush,but it's become one of my favorites for cleaning my wheels.

Thanks for the posts, my fellow BMW enthusiasts. I stopped by the store after work today and found a EZ detail brush look alike. Tried it out and it's definitely the way to go.

I got it at autozone. I also use Black magic Titanium Matte for my tires. They had it on sale. The brush is flexible and has similar fibers as the EZ Detail brush.
