how long have you had it and ever had any issues with MHD tunes?
you guys seem to rate it quite a bit.

I just want to explore some more options and others experience with tuning n54s.

thank you
No worries.

I've had MHD since 2018, and I've had no issues so far, not even a misfire, with the exception of my old Injectors with odd fuel trims.

You have to do your maintenance first though, gaskets, seals, charge pipe, plugs, coils, injectors, any supporting mods etc before you start flashing, otherwise your asking for trouble.

You have to also realise that tunes will push the engine and parts around it harder and be prepared for things to fail, although you can minimise that to a large extent by properly maintaining the car.

MHD is the best platform for tuning the N54.

JB4 basically works by controlling boost and fooling the DME.

Standalone ECU's like Syvecs will require seriously deep pockets so forget about them.

ok thanks and appreciate your advice and definitely agree. my car is pretty well maintained as I do tend to take good care of my cars.

I do like the fact that it can have engine monitoring functions on the MHD as well.
