Keyless entry not working, but keyless start does

So this is a weird one, 2008 335i, had battery problems a few weeks ago, replaced the battery, but ever since my comfort access has not been working so I have to manually click the button on the key to lock and unlock, but what's weird is that I can still start the car without the key in the ignition. I replaced the fob battery to no avail. Any ideas ??

You have more than one remote? Do both not work? Do any other doors/trunk work? Possible antenna issue.

No I only have one key, every function except for locking/unlocking with touch features works perfectly and always has

So the passenger side door won't work either? You have an antenna in each door handle for comfort access.

Ok, being nothing outside the car works, it sounds like an exterior antenna. I don't recall off the top of my head if the CA and remove use the same antenna. I'd have to look at a wire schematic. You have last 7 of vin?

P157653, thanks for your help !
Also the key does work outside of the car if I press the buttons, just not without me pressing them.

Ok, so there is a separate module for the comfort access. Its located right above the battery in a little plastic bracket/holder. make sure its all good there. Also check fuse 61, 5 amp in the front fuse box behind the glove box. This fuse is actually for the exterior antennas.

Honestly at this point you're going to need to check faults or take it to a dealer.

Yeah there's no codes related to it, I don't got money for the dealer so I guess I'll just live with it. Thank you for your help though it's much appreciated!
