Can anyone recommend a route optimization program.

I want to be able to put in 3 or 4 points I want to go to and it to give me an optimal route.

Google maps will let me add points along the way but not give me an option, to give me a good route to them.

I remember back in the day Autoroute(tm) had this facility.

Any ideas

doesn't account for traffic, but gives me some idea

Waze does pretty well with real-time rerouting given traffic, etc. I don’t know what variable you’re optimizing (time, mileage, tolls, etc) so I can’t say that it is better than Google Maps for your need.

How does Google not work? If you know where each destination is you can just add a new stop and Google gives you the best route from point to point. If you add more stops afterwards you can drag each stop to its appropriate place in your list of stops and it adjusts your route for you. I use this all the time with planned stops along road trips.
