Retrofitting DAB Module to CIC

I'm trying to add the OE DAB module to my 2011 E89 Z4. It's got retrofitted CIC iDrive. I've added $654 to the VO, and the option of DAB is visible within the radio options list (with or without the DAB module being connected, so just coded).
It doesn't seem to recognise the DAB module (connected via MOST).
I've connected ISTA via ICOM and received the following screenshot, tried to find the conversion in the Vehicle screen but couldn't find anything.
Am I missing something, wrong code?
So the VO code is there, the headunit has accepted it, ISTA knows the module is there, but they don't seem to want to talk to each other!

OK so I posted the above in the BMW Coding group on Facebook and only got a few replies of which said, basically, that this module is for the CCC unit, BUT... The E89 Z4 (yes I know I'm in the wrong group, but you guys are very clever ) has this listed in the parts list (RealOEM) for it and there is also the wiring diagram on TIS for it as well. The E89 only ever had CIC throughout it's entire existence (2009 to 2016), it never had CCC (or later NBT), so if this module is only for CCC why is it an E89 part??!!

Can anyone know? Can anyone point me in the right direction? TIA

Oh and in case anyone is wondering, yes I could fit a DAB headunit or something like a Fistune DAB, but I was trying to keep it inexpensive

Not compatible with CIC. E89 represents the entire 1 and 3 series range.

That unit may well be applicable for RAD2.

?? E89 is the Z4 from 2009 to 2016, I'm looking at the Z4 specific parts list (RealOEM)and wiring diagram (NEWTIS) nothing to do with the E89 NCSExpert settings.

Wiring diagram shows it connected to both CIC and standard radio.

I can see it in the wiring diagram but then its also in the wiring diagram for the 3 series, the 1 series etc. and everyone with one of those vehicles will tell you to change the CIC to one with DAB on board.

Yeah I appreciate the "change the headunit" thinking, but this would have been cheaper and a challenge, looks like it's a challenge too far though. Well it's only cost a small amount and I can always sell it back on I suppose.
Thanks for your help

I tried it myself without success and eventually bought a head unit!

Why not try coding sat radio and USA spec, then put the dab in place of satellite receiver
