dyno comparison AP, IC, vs AP,IC,Catback, helene filter

Here are the results of recent dyno after cat back & helene filter. Looks like I lost power (~6rwhp).... might be due to higher ambient temps 65F v 89F. Rennart reports 11 rwhp gain over stock and helene filter might be marginal. I am not sure how the correction factor works...but would the air temp account for 6 + 11 rwhp loss. Or does the catback not really provide much gain?
car seems to have gained some hp and tq between 4k and 5200 rpm and above 6500 rpm but lost between 5200 and 6k...maybe due to higher temps and higher IAT...pulled timing

Before: AA AP and FMIC: 344 rwhp, 369 rwtq
Air temp: 65.5F
Humidity: 40%
Altitude:700ft
Absolute pressure:29.8 in-Hg
VaporPressure: 0.3 in-Hg

After: AP FMIC Catback (rennart) Helene filter: 338 rwhp 368 rwtq
Air temp: 89.1F
Humidity: 29%
Altitude:700ft
Absolute pressure:29.6 in-Hg
VaporPressure: 0.4 in-Hg

Do you have the SAE corrected numbers? While people may debate the validity of the correction factors, they should at least ~help level the playing field for dynoing at different ambient conditions.

Maybe you need a map for the FMIC from AA.

i know...but AA has no plan to update maps. they feel it currently is reliable and consistent...not looking to push the limits. i mean they have a reputation on the line.
The IC is performing fine...looks like car pulled timing on this run...had 10 rwhp upto 5200 rpm with cat back and then nose dived. so maybe i would have got 350-355 rwhp i was hoping for.
i am considering another tune in future...helix,V3,JB3...or JC flash

My results, with AA catback

97F

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141411

Did you give it enough time to adjust?

BTW, do not go for Dual Cone's with the AA processor. I just did some logging and my power/torque curves were all over the place, 5hp gain by 6500rpm and very inconsistent loss in the mid-range. Unless they create a map for Dual cones dont. Not that you would..

It would be lovely if they release their software to modify the maps

those are great numbers with your mods. i was hoping for the same but looks like i pulled timing. i wonder why you didn't since you have even higher ambient temps. maybe cooling fans? or ventilation?
i know i was like the 20th car to run,

so it looks like my car pulled timing at 5300 rpm. looks like i gained 10rwhp up to 5300rpm with exhaust. so may have got 353 hp in better conditions.

Wow, I'm really surprised that nobody blamed your power loss on the Helene Air filter or exhaust.

I completely agree with you tomtom. You pulled timing at aprox 5300 RPM.
What would have been interesting is to log your boost during the dyno runs as well.
I'm really curious to see what your boost was peaking at.
I'll bet you anything that it was higher than your previous run, and this was the reason why you were pulling timing, hence making less power.

i've been doing all my dynos at the same shop for consistency. but they dont do boost or afr readings.
i am installing a boost gauge soon, but it will likey be difficult to read the changes.

also, it looks like i gain 20rwhp after 6500 rpm...if i continued to 7000 it looks like it would have gained maybe 30rwhp. so the area under the curve is so much more. looks like a plus for catback and helene combo. dont know how much each contributed however.
