N54 - Manual Trans "clicking"

G'day!

My 2007 E92 335i manual transmission has been "clunking" lately, mostly during cold start and off, the sound goes away once the car heats up.

I'm not sure if that's something I should worry about, or is it another one of the "BMW Classics".

The recording is from today, I was checking if the diff moves at all when the handbrake is on and it gets a bit of power (it doesn't).

Metallic click on start and off - 2007 manual N54 - YouTube

The Click happens at 1 sec into the video and at 13 sec, other than that the car drives well (stock standard, 44.5k miles)

Please let me know if you have any questions

Thank you!

First click sounds like it's almost certainly the exhaust flap, you can hear the note change when it happens. The second one is the same noise so probably also the exhaust flap. Those things are loud, golf tee mod is essentially free
