But yea it feels like it has something to do with that updated tune, tell them you're not happy with it and want the old tune put back on for free...or you're getting a 997!

Do you know what your old version was and what the new one is? I believe the latest/last version was INA0S_IS.
Of course they can be reversed. You can take a MHD flasher and DCAN cable and flash any number of IS compatible software versions. I'm currently on INA0S but the car came with ILA0S. I can go back and forth at will. Same with the DCT, many different versions of compatible software available, upgrade or downgrade as you see fit. I currently run the 135IS DCT version because it has a 3500 rpm launch point as opposed to the factory 5000 rpm.

I'm close to 60k as well on my IS. Mine doesn't pop and burble much when I'm running stock, but if I go map 1 on jb4 it comes back to life every time I decelerate. I actually did a muffler delete about 1k miles ago, didn't make a difference on how often it pops but the sound is intoxicating.

Had my wife rev the car as I observed... Didn't see any signs of water build up or exiting however; I heard a an after rev sound .... Like a chatter rattle... Non-metallic...
Could this be turbo wastegate or the muffler flapper? |

This happened to me too. I would get burbles on decelerate all the time. I then enabled it through MHD, but didn't like it and I turned it off. Now I don't get any burbles. I figured the values that MHD wrote got rid of them all. It never really bothered me though to investigate any further. I can try resetting my adaptations and see if they come back. Maybe that can help you
