Ford decided to take all of the market value for themselves this time.

"Sales and service for this vehicle will be managed by Multimatic."

Multimatic builds all Ford GT's in Canada. I wonder what their contract looks like to build these track only versions. Seems like everything is being done through Multimatic and Ford just gets their cut. No manufacturing, sales, or servicing by Ford.

Sure except for the fact they are called Ford GT and are an evolution of american racing history.

I don't think many would buy a Multimatic Track Special.

Ford website doesn't specify. 2018 GT had a 3.5L TT V6 so it is in the realm of possibility the GT IV is also a V6.

Still would make more sense with a V8. At the least they should just call it something else if it's going to have a dumb motor.

Just 67 being built for lucky owners to commemorate the 1967 Ford GT 40 win at Le Mans.

my mate built a Ford GT from a kitset and it cost him $20k (can't recall if the kit came with the engine - maybe he had to buy the engine)

I love the new Ford GT and this one is cool af but $500K and $1.7M are both numbers not even close to the maximum I'd ever spend on a Ford.
