335i Dyno results (JB1H, BMS duel intakes, Solenoid kit)
Got the car on the dyno today. Unfortunately, since it was a dyno day, there where too many people, and they could not get tq readings for my car :/. They told me that it was going to take too long to get the tq settings hooked up.... I dont have any stock dyno sheets, but I have a feeling that this could be a little higher than average (~270rw). This was a dynojet BTW.
Mods: JB1H Solenoid kit Duel intakes Temp: 95.82 degrees F and Humidity was 39% We did two runs, got them both on video, although they are not great. 1st run was in 3rd gear and made 325.96whp and the second run was in 4th gear and made 325.76whp (the car actually hit 150mph). I will post up the video tomorrow of the two runs. Conclusion: I am very happy with the results. I was definitely not expecting anything greater than 310whp. Im a little mad that I was not able to get any tq readings, but next time I go, Ill make sure to do it. Also, I was surprised that the car was able to hit 150mph in 4th gear with ease, granted, there is no wind resistance. Just wanted to add that with the two runs that I did, it shows the JB is very consistent, being less than a HP off the 1st run. Last edited by SoFlo335; 07-12-2008 at 05:56 PM.. |

Very nice but I don't understand why they couldn't get the torque. I am assuming they were saying they couldn't take the two bolts out of the engine cover and clamp the wire for RPMs. Purely lazy and unprofessional IMO. I wouldn't have paid for essentially HALF a dynosheet.
How much did you pay?

Apparently it takes "45min" to hook up for tq readings.... Dont think so. Just had the car serviced the past week and I looked at the receipts and couldnt find anything about having the car updated, so Im gonna say Im pre-29.2. |

I wouldn't have let them within 15ft of my car if they think the RPM reading takes 45min to hook up. Oh well, congrats on the HP number at least.....
