On a road course he'd still win. Your powerband is a shift away.

Why don't people realize X psi doesn't determine the power level?

Just because I'm running 30psi doesn't mean I'm making alot of power.

I could run 30psi on my stock turbo and make 400whp with crazy torque spike running out of its efficiency.

I could run 30psi on my pt61 and make 600+whp right in dead center of efficiency.

That's a foreign concept to a lot of people. They don't understand that boost is a measurement of back pressure on the intake side basically and that if you have a bigger turbo that flows better (the exhaust flows better than stock as well not just the compressor) you can make just as much power with less boost since it is still flowing the same or more CFM.

They look at boost more like HP, it is what it is and more is better.

I once witnessed a highly boosted GSX at the track. It was silver, and looked otherwise stock (no drop).

He offered to race a highly modified mustang 5.0 for $100. The mustang looked like a funny car, it was so dragged out.

I personally thought the GSX driver was insane... until they raced.

When the flag dropped, the mustang (with 315 drag slicks in the back) burned out hard, and looked like it was nearly going to pop a wheelie.

The GSX quickly launched from 0-60 in no time at all because of the 4 wheel drive (zero burnout). When he shifted into second, flames shot out of his exhaust.

When it was all said and done, the GSX ran in the high 10's. The stang ran in the 11's and was PISSED. They raced again, same story, and he got burned even worse the second time around.

If this car is anything like the one I saw (not saying that it is), you will get decimated to the n'th degree. So just be careful.

Mitsubishi's start out at 210hp with around 14 psi of boost, so it has to have a ton more to get to the ~350 hp of your brothers car and no matter how they do it, it is not going to have a torque peak near as low as the BMW

BMW's get out of the hole hard, and with a V3 his should be into the twelves, and that is no joke for some cobbled together mitsu with boost that takes 5 seconds to build at which point you may be well down the track.

Lastly, remember, that thing could go 300 mph, but it's still no BMW.

I had a few DSM's back in the day and it wouldn't take alot for GS-T to eat your lunch let alone a GSX. I loved having one when they first came out because alot of 'domestic heads' had no idea what they were in for.

35psi means nothing like a few others have said.

Also is it really running 35psi who knows, if it is, honestly, it doesn't matter what size the turbo is if its bigger than a stock one you will lose as long as it is tuned properly.

Motor would pretty much have to be built to handle that kind of boost consistently

It all depends on if there is truth to what he is saying about the gsx.

HAHAHA... Oh so true...I've owned a couple of Evo's and they couldn't make a u-turn at a stop light with making it a three point turn...

The race would be pointless unless you enjoy watching his tail lights get smaller and smaller in the distance... 35 PSI FTW!!!

An Evo is not a DSM. Just because it has a 4g63 in it does not make it a DSM. Sorry I had to.
