Why don't people realize X psi doesn't determine the power level?
Just because I'm running 30psi doesn't mean I'm making alot of power. I could run 30psi on my stock turbo and make 400whp with crazy torque spike running out of its efficiency. I could run 30psi on my pt61 and make 600+whp right in dead center of efficiency.

They look at boost more like HP, it is what it is and more is better. Last edited by hotrod2448; 07-16-2008 at 11:50 AM.. |

I once witnessed a highly boosted GSX at the track. It was silver, and looked otherwise stock (no drop).
He offered to race a highly modified mustang 5.0 for $100. The mustang looked like a funny car, it was so dragged out. I personally thought the GSX driver was insane... until they raced. When the flag dropped, the mustang (with 315 drag slicks in the back) burned out hard, and looked like it was nearly going to pop a wheelie. The GSX quickly launched from 0-60 in no time at all because of the 4 wheel drive (zero burnout). When he shifted into second, flames shot out of his exhaust. When it was all said and done, the GSX ran in the high 10's. The stang ran in the 11's and was PISSED. They raced again, same story, and he got burned even worse the second time around. If this car is anything like the one I saw (not saying that it is), you will get decimated to the n'th degree. So just be careful. Quote:

I had a few DSM's back in the day and it wouldn't take alot for GS-T to eat your lunch let alone a GSX. I loved having one when they first came out because alot of 'domestic heads' had no idea what they were in for.

35psi means nothing like a few others have said.
Also is it really running 35psi who knows, if it is, honestly, it doesn't matter what size the turbo is if its bigger than a stock one you will lose as long as it is tuned properly. Motor would pretty much have to be built to handle that kind of boost consistently It all depends on if there is truth to what he is saying about the gsx. |

HAHAHA... Oh so true...I've owned a couple of Evo's and they couldn't make a u-turn at a stop light with making it a three point turn... The race would be pointless unless you enjoy watching his tail lights get smaller and smaller in the distance... 35 PSI FTW!!! |
