dinan tune?

ok so im probably going to look like an idiot for posting this, but what exactly is a dinan tune, is it available for the e90, and how much is it? my only understanding is that it reprograms the computer to basically unleash your car?? sorry if this is a stupid question

Not a stupid question at all but you got it down pretty much. . .Here's their website: http://www.dinancars.com/ Just click around and you'll find your E90 listed and the available "Stages" and upgrades.

P.S. - If you're seriously considering going the Dinan route you should do it soon because BMW isnt going to be working in conjunction with Dinan to cover cars under warranty after a certain date.

This thread does an excellent job at explaining exactly how the Dinan tune works in conjunction with the programs that BMW flashes with.

What are you trying to say here? Because it looks like what you have said is COMPLETELY wrong. Not to sound too harsh.

You realize that the warranty is offered by Dinan, and matches the BMW 4yr/50k warranty?

The recent CPO bulletin has NOTHING to do with the way the current warranty situation is set up.

If you have a 325i like your profile says over there, then there is no ECU/DME flash that exists for your car (by Dinan anyway). So you don't have to worry about it, it doesn't exist.

...and don't post in the FI forum, asking why there is no tune for your NA cars
and then getting fired up.
I don't mean to be harsh but it's just common sense. I'm not going to go on a Cobra forum and ask why SVT doesn't make a supercharger pulley upgrade for my 335.

Oh, and what PLAYON posted (as Ybiz said) is COMPLETELY WRONG and not true at all, about the warranty coverage situation on the Dinan or BMW end changing at all.

I think some people are being a bit tough on the OP. He asked a question...and your analogy about the Cobra website doesn't make sense. He's talking about a BMW and you're mixing apples and oranges together.

As for the OP, you'll quickly find that if you don't know everything right away, there are people who will flame you until you are a charred piece of flesh.

Hmm, maybe granny smith to macintosh...not apples to oranges. The 325 the OP has, shares about the same number of parts with the 335 as the 335 does to the Cobra...and this is a FI/335 forum.

That's not true. A little common sense and a bit of search should be used when browsing E90post.

If the OP had ACTUALLY READ that the Dinan tune is for 335's TWIN TURBOED I6, then this whole stupid thread wouldn't have been started.

Dinan is finishing on software for all 2008 models. The power gains for your 325i will be far less than what they made for the 335, 535 and 135's.

Warranty for the DME will fall on Dinans shoulders and the remaining parts of the vehicle belong to BMW.

Nothing has changed between Dinan and BMW regarding warranty. The CPO program was a mutual termination because of the lack of participation. They CPO'ed 30 cars last year out of many thousands modified.

Oh and BMW wont even CPO their very own high performance M5 and M6!!
