What do you mean by original settings? the car is remapped and part stage 2 I believe, all done before I owned it. I will take it for a spin with the part off.

Would a fuel filter cause light blue/white/light grey smoke?

probably not,,oil maybe getting into the intake system via the ccv venting oil ..the system on these cars is not all that good,,the breather filter/hose and connections is poor,,it leads to vented oil getting into the boost hoses/intercooler/turbo,my red boost hose is leaking on my 335d,,its had an aftermarket one by last owner but oits leaking again..gonna see if ican sort it as soon as i can, think irts leaking past the seals,,but maybe gonna change ccv filetr and connecting hose etc

Changed the breather already, glow plugs, relay, thermostat, checked intercooler and all fine. Only fault left on INPA is fuel filter, once that is done could be stem seals or turbo I guess. Unless it’s the remap, like this thread

white smoke would indicate coolant,,have your egr cooler checked,,they can crack and flood the car with coolant, and very worst case wreck it and new engine time

Are u sure it's white smoke & not just water vapour? I dont know about the oil burners but petrols can give off great plumes of white 'smoke' especially now the weather's a bit colder.

Smile My 2011 335d is giving out a crazy amount of white emmisions (Please help)(First Car)

I have a 2011 335d, I got it about a month ago. the previous owner has done all the modifications, such as an emissions delete (egr, def, scr, dpf all gone) swirl flaps gone, has twin turbos and a downpipe, asked I'm the stage and he said 1.5??? ive changed the oil and added seafoam when I got it. things were running well until last week my car started giving out wayy more smoke than it normally would when him idling (it shouldn't at all right?) and now coming out white/gray. can someone please help me navigate the cause and how to fix this? idk how serious this can be. (seriously it looks like there's a fire back there)
