So, fraud?
You think the dealer won't be able to read the codes? |

From what i have been through with them if issue "x" triggers the light and they notice another issue some what related, they will fix it. I had this issue with the recall of the valve heater thing and they replaced the radiator (i had a tiny leak) and all the hoses. The radiator didnt even send a code but they noticed the leak and repaired it to be proactive |

There is no way to code the SEL light to activate.
In any case the dealer will look at the error code stored in the DME and will create a service plan based on the stored code. . |

I unplugged the MAF sensor and was able to get part of what i wanted fixed that way.
IN ORDER TO HAVE SULEV FIX PARTS THAT BREAK YOU MUST HAVE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, YOU CAN UNPLUG THE MAF SENSOR AND LET THAT CODE POP UP THEN TAKE TO DEALER TO FIX THE CODES YOU FOUND AND GOT PRE APPROVED USING ISTA ! |
