Rust Check Point E92

Other than surface rust underside (suspension components etc) I've had no body rust...until now. Might just be unlucky, but posting this so you can check yours and find it early.

Under the leading edge of the bonnet (hood) on the offside on mine, I noticed a strip of bubbling where the body sealant ends and the paint begins. The pic shows the location. Sorry I didn't take a pic until after repair. I scraped off the bubbling paint, rust treated the rust spots then applied thick bitumastic paint. No colour match of course, but as it's out of sight when the bonnet's closed, stopping further corrosion was the priority. I also injected Waxoyl into the cavity where the bonnet is double skinned.

Hopefully yours will be clear, but just an early warning to keep an eye out...

I've noticed a bit of rust on mine around the boot handle. Worth checking there as it's not somewhere most people really look at.
