What are you complaining about? A car that is fast in a straight line AND can take curves like nobody's business? Or the owners that are really enthused about this?
There are plenty of jackass fanboyzzz for every make and model of anything remotely trackworthy...

Beside the 335i is a really good car it's even better when you can get the power of the old e39 M5 and some more torque by ECU tuning and supporting mods. Sustainable. The 335i is no M3 but who says everybody wants the M3 ? A moderate performance tuned 335i is simply a great car and has a great milage, IMO.

Yeah I think some of the 335i owners are little cocky on here, but this car has great tuning potential. I love my 335i, but I still want a M3. Something about the feeling you get hearing those screaming revs, especially now that it is a V8.
**But I think the cockiness will eventually end.** The TTV8 will become available in the next 5-series. Can't wait to get one and chip it, can you say insanely fast. I will be roasting everything in sight with it. |

this is my 3rd bmw and my 4th german car. i now can win through the windy roads and in a straight line and to top it off i paid 50k for it. If im not aloud to brag then what the hell is the car good for. I brag about my dog. if i had kids i'd brag about them. You know why? people brag about things they're proud of. I don't go to other forums or rub it in anyone's faces. I brag amongst my peers. the ones that own 335s and brag alongside me in a Brag-a-thon known as e90 post.

There are a lot of cocky people on BMW forums in general, no way around that one, but I could see where someone comes from a normal powered car and starts talking shit because they can trap 110 now.

To the original post.. I agree with you 100%.. it is what it is.. If you look at other forums there are always people in there trying to make themselve feel better about their car.
Check out the A4 forums and you will see everyone there talking about 200-250 hp etc.. but once you dig deeper you will see that they usually are referring to flywheel. I am sure the Miata, S2000, Mini Coopers etc also have the saying "Our cars will own it in the twisties" I am pretty sure stuff like this will never change. You see this kind of thing in everyday life not just in regards to cars. "Hey that guy just moved up higher than me in the company.. but Its okay because I am still making more money." |
