Does it happen when the car is going straight? Or when turning?

Any recent suspension work? Sometimes the washer gets flipped and cAn cause a clunk noise when turning.

Bumping. I'm having a clunk in the front almost right below my feet it feels like. It only happens after it rains or on brisk mornings. End links, struts, and top mounts have been replaced. Anyone else have this issue?

I have the same issue. I've got the Birds Dynamic B3 suspension set up and everything has been fine. The knocking, feels like it's behind the foot pedals, is really bad when the car is hot. Everything has been checked and I found that the Lemforder drop links were worn. I replaced them and thought that I had solved the issue. 140 miles into a journey and I was stuck in traffic and at a crawling pace, and the knock was back as bad as ever. Like most people on here, when cold everything is as solid as a rock. I've even bought another pair of droplinks (Meyle HD) as I thought that maybe the Lemforders had failed already, but I've not had a chance to check yet. My car is booked in at my local independent on Tuesday 5th so I will see if I get any joy from them and report back if there's anymore information that I can give for this common issue on our E92's. Fingers crossed.

UPDATE

Post my independent BMW garage inspection I have the NSF shock absorber that is shot. It has vertical play and an oil mist. Also the front ARB (Eibach 28mm) is very tight in its bushes. There is also a NSR trunnion bush that has excessive play so I'll get both sides replaced. No idea if this is a contributing factor at all. The car is booked in now for 25th Jan 2024 to have all the necessary work carried out. I'll then check-in to you all to see if this has resolved the issue. I'm getting there slowly.

UPDATE

Both front shock absorbers and top hats were replaced and drop links (I'd fitted the new ones on the wrong sides, yeah I know). No clunking or rattling now. I think the noise all along was the worn top hat on the OSF suspension. Putting the drop links on the wrong side didn't help with diagnosis. Good luck all with the on going rattles all and hope my pennies worth helps.

Oh man, I was super frustrated. Car was due (130k, e92 335i) so I’ve recently replaced basically the entire frt suspension. Still have clunk at low speed bumps. Loosened, replaced & re-torqued the end links. Only difference torqued the top bolt while under load.

Do I feel like an idiot? Yup. Am I glad I’m not replacing the freakin steering shaft or ___? Yup

Anyway, hope this helps someone and appreciate everyone that contributes info.
