2008 E92/93 Side Mirror Wiring Diagram
Can someone please direct me or provide me with the wiring diagram for the 2008 E93 power folding mirrors? I'm trying to retrofit to power folding mirrors, but strangely I have an E93 with 5 wires going to the driver's side mirror and 3 wires going to the passenger side mirror. I need to rewire the system to 3 wires to get the folding mirrors to work. Your help or guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thank you. I will try to figure out how to read the diagram. I've never gone into the FRM before so it will be interesting. I'm going to buy the parts now, which include the power folding mirrors and the window/mirror switch. Do you know if I'll need to rewire anything on the passenger side? It already has only 3 wires. Any pointers on reading the diagram or anything else will be appreciated.

My original factory equipment has power mirrors with the option for the passenger side mirror to automatically tilt in reverse. I also have power memory seats, if that matters. Everything is fully functional now. I'm retrofitting to add the power folding feature.

To troubleshoot without throwing parts at the problem, you're going to need a cheap multimeter to measure volts and continuity. Do a Google search on using and troubleshooting with a multimeter.
Also, most local libraries have online wiring diagrams for vehicles. Call and ask your local library. The also have technical service bulletins online. |
