Question N52, zf 6hp19 sluggish acceleration

Hi all,

I've got 330i 2006 and ever since I got the car with 90k miles I felt like first gear (or maybe first 2 gears) have very little power.

It's automatic gearbox and basically from start when moving off it feels like it revs to 2-3k and it's moving, but like a car with less than 100hp. As soon as it shifts to 2nd (or 3rd, not sure as its auto), it kind of wakes up and pulls like a train with all its 258bhp it has.
It's impossible for it to push you to the seat and even accelerate fast unless it's in that follow up gear. Very weird!
I feel like my old civic with 100hp was accelerating much faster from stand still...

Anyone experienced something like this?

P.s. I've got 0 codes In the car checked with Inpa. Other than that the car feels solid and pulls like a train on a highway.
Transmission has been serviced with new fluid and filter recently. Otherwise gears are changing smoothly.

When in DS it's kind of the same, but I think it doesn't hold these gears for long, or because it revs higher it feels more responsive. But even then I sort of feel like there must be more to it because as soon as it switches to a higher gear it gives a lot of torque.

What RPM is is changing gears at? Above 3k is where the ponies live.

I thought so too, but that's not exactly what I have.
Higher gears at low rpm have loads of power. It's not rmp, but the gear itself I think.
Wonder might this be torque converter? Is this maybe normal for 6hp19? Maybe something related to disa flaps?

There's no codes, clutch pressures in gearbox are within range and gearbox otherwise runs smoothly.

I will be the one to ask the obvious question. You are bumping the shifter to the drivers side to put it into Sport mode..??

Some think bumping over is purely for putting it into Manual mode. But, If you don't bump it up or down it does the shifting as an Auto. If you bump up or down it drives as a manual... till you screw up and it takes back over... lol

Long story longer sport mode is the way to always drive... if you want the power and acceleration.

I'm aware of D vs DS lol. But even in DS I feel on 1st gear the car is sluggish. It accelerates, and with higher rpm it does accelerates faster obv, but there's this feeling that as soon as it changes to a higher gear the car feels alive. Every inch of throttle feels powerfull, while 1st gear feels like I need to push throttle all the way down to actually start moving any faster...
RPMS are going up, engine revs, but very little power. Feels like something is missing.

I have a 6L45 transmission. I fully confirm the same problem. When there is no problem, I try to push a little so as not to go fast. It was 2 times. Once after a long parking. The second time after an eight-hour cleaning of the MAF in "99%-duck"))
but there were no repeats another time
Soon I will do something with VVT-motor I will write here

Have you tried resetting your throttle adaptations? Can make a world of difference sometimes.

Yes, I've done it a few times. Waiting for the throttle for 30 seconds with ignition and inpa "erase everything"
nothing...
