Talk to me about frozen paint and PPF

I have a 2025 G82 coming with an individual frozen paint, and I’m thinking of a matte PPF for the front clip only. Will there be too much difference between that and the hood/fenders? I don’t drive too much, like 300 miles/month, but don’t want to have to worry too much, more peace of mind than anything.

Thanks. Some of the comments in there are I have some reservations about frozen paint, but I hardly drive anywhere these days, so I’m sure the PPF route (for the front) will be fine.

A Search will uncover other discussions, but that thread seemed to be informative.

All of the PPF's these days are pretty fantastic, I'd just recommend 100% coverage, and when I say 100%, I mean it. Don't leave anything to chance. And make damn sure it has UV either in it, or on it.

If I was gonna cover it in PPF, I’d have just ordered another in Aventurin and saved the extra $3500+ for the PPF. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You can pay the man now or pay the man later, but you're gonna' pay the man, and if it's later, it's more.

Xpel Stealth is going to give you a great match to the paint if you are only covering the front. If you have the cash, go for allover PPF.

If you have any black trim use regular PPF.
