Writing VIN to CIC issue help, please
I've tried using various How-To's on how to do this but nothing is writing the VIN to my replacementCIC unit.
These instructions say to use Tool32, of which I've used in the past with no issue, but this is just not working. Although Tool32 says it worked, on checking it with INPA shows all 0's, and then using FSTool2 it goes all the way successfully but doesn't work in the end, obviously due to the VIN issue. So does anyone have any advice? Any other programs that'll do this? TIA

Hmmm, might have found something here, starting at 25:09 it shows some more steps with Tool32 compared to most of the other "How-To's" out there....
So I'll give that a go and see

OK, so for anyone coming to this post in the future and having the same issue, here's the answer....
Follow that video posted above, from the 25:09 point It is 100% correct. Every other How-To I've read and seen does not mention these steps to get the VIN into the CIC unit, but it certainly works. Once this was completed and checked with INPA, I went through the steps of using FSTools2 (there are 2 versions, so get the correct instructions!) and it's all worked. Only 2 issues came up immediately, but they both resolved theirselves. One was that although 6NR is already in the VO, and was SG_Codieren'd to the CIC upon installation, it still didn't show Connected Drive as an option on the CIC Menu. The second was that in Nav the "i" (bottom left corner of the map screen) was stricken through. Once I updated the map to the latest version (having obtained the Map FSC and inserted it), and the headunit had fully rebooted, both of these issues were sorted and everything was OK. I hope that is of use to someone
