WTB: E90 Logic 7 wiring harness
Working on my Logic 7 retrofit for my 2009 E90 335
Currently looking for the Logic 7 wiring harness, or better put, the interior wiring harness from an e90 that was equipped with Logic 7. Or if anyone has had luck with the harnesses on Alibaba I'd be grateful for any info on them as I wasn't able to find much. Thanks!! |

Just wanted to post this here for anyone still looking to do the retrofit, as I've long had my Logic 7 setup installed now. (most of it)
Turns out on eBay (or Alibaba i'm sure) you can just buy plug and play L7 amp adapters. (As long as your car has the factory Hifi and not base system, for that you still need the whole harness) I just searched something like: Hifi to Logic 7 HK retrofit amp adapter wiring. One thing to note: The listings I found online never showed e9x vehicles under fitment, but I contacted one of the sellers who verified it would fit anyway. Bought it and yes sir it fit proper. Besides not having to cut up anything, more importantly, it saved me the trouble of gutting the interior of the car. Can't remember exactly what it cost, but it wasn't bad, something like 50 or 60. They were also selling MOST loops, but my car had satellite radio, so I just transferred that connection instead. Installed the Logic/HK speakers/Amp, plus a little coding through bimmergeeks protool and the job was done. Of course, I promptly blew the subs within a month, but that's unrelated and another story... --I'll mention too, the adapter came with an extra pair of wires attached for the center dash speaker (which I have yet to install out of laziness) But the wires for the rear doors would still have to be added by yourself. (Also haven't done) Anyways, that's pretty much it |
