Might have lost another underbody panel. I really need to find a xi partout around here. Oh well, it was fun and it was messed up already! I have decided I think I would prefer stock xDrive to xDelete snow mode for traction, but it was fun getting squirrely

Edit: you can see the drag line from the panel in the center of the snow tracks lol
Man I love that color what a beautiful car. Colorado looks beautiful too... in pictures, I'm pretty sure I couldn't deal with snow 6 months out of the year. On that note, I'm about to take Mrs.3p and the pupper to dog beach before I'm forced to remove the summer tires

Make sure you stock up on underpanel screws, those things decaying are the root of the panels falling off. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H87XYYS...sin_title&th=1

Window regulator fun!

Lost another rear window regulator, green car this time. We are just getting some rain around here now, so perfect timing.

Thanks 3P! I have no complaints. Where I live specifically, snow isn't a problem at all. We get 10" here and there that melt within a week. Mostly just cold temps and breezes. If you want to play in the snow alls you have to do is go 30 minutes south

I like when it snows once or twice in Feb or March and then melts and spring comes lol. Was 68 degrees here in NJ, pupper had fun romping on the beach

broke into it

I purchased a 2012 328i e92 two days ago and i was trying to get the joyeauto car play system to work and i had the only key fob in so i could test the radio and closed the door. it was at that moment i heard the door lock and realized i had fucked up!!
The day before i was at the dealer ordering my second key fob because i knew i was going to do this... luckily i had some trim tools i used to open the window enough to use i long piece of 1/8 wood trimming in the garage i was able to reach the unlock button on the dash and get back into my car

The Dinan finally arrived!

Here’s what it looked like initially,

and

after I spent about 45min+ polishing it up for fun.
I suppose I could make a pass with the finer foam pad to get it even better,
but even the present level is overkill. It was just too fun to quit.

That little Ryobi 3” polisher has been worth every penny.

^^

lol I did exactly the opposite !

here shiny exhaust = ticket. No matter if it's noisy or not. (cops assume it's aftermarket and noisy, so they automatically give you a ticket)

So on my E91, I sand it, and bbq matt black paint it.

I did my oil and engine filter over the weekend, but forget to get a cabin filter at the time. It came in today. I paid a little extra and got a Bosch HEPA filter. It was definitely needed, and I hope the HEPA lives up to the hype (and $$$).

Definitely a lot more media in the filter, so if nothing else seems like it would do a better job. I went between this and some of the active carbon ones and figures I could live with smells and would rather have fewer particulates!

The check valves look okay? What was the mileage on them? I've considered doing them proactively, but obviously haven't yet...

About 80k. Only a spec of carbon in one of them but wanted to clean them and solenoids because of some random weird warm starts. Plug checking next.

Put in the rear folding seats. Didnt realize the bottoms are different. Or maybe there is a "Filler" like the coupes.

Also, finally have headlights. BOTH were burnt out on my halogens. My angel eye bulbs will be here tomorrow. Then I'm going to finally spend some money on my xenons.

Also changed out my cup holders with the ones that came with the shell. Put on the "better" gas cap.

Still need bulbs, ballasts and AFS modules. Might borrow them from my e92 for the time being lol. I need to redo my bumper anyways.

It does make a huge difference in terms of cleaning them up.

I got the inner shroud painted in satin black changes the look of the car dramatically.

I got them from Aliexpress.

Make sure you grab butyl (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003668087767.html) aswell to put them together and clean the housing channels well else you'll have condensation.

Can you do me a favor and take a photo of the under side with the ballasts and AFS module? I need those and want to see if the ones off my e92 are the same ones.

Thank you.

I got bimmerjakes lenses, has the same markings as the OE AL lens.

Still on the to do list for me as I've spent this week trying to wrap my head around why my LDM is not communicating to my car for my ACC retrofit.
