Ha - thanks! Sadly half of the cars in that image are for sale

We did the garage addition about five years ago - I've had a TON of fun in that time, so I have no reason to complain.

Beautiful car mightydave , I myself have a 2010 E61 MSport in AW over natural brown that I don’t drive as much as I would like since we have a couple of cars that we drive since they are more convenient. Yours is a very clean example, I’m sure the right buyer will come. For myself it might be a harder sell since it is OE+ built.

Alpine and Deep Sea Blue were my top two color choices when hunting for an M Sport. Would love to see yours and all you've done to it. And is your signature correct that you also have an E91 in Alpine over Brown? What a combo!

My 2010 535xi Sport Wagon also has this odd combination.

What rims are these, I am looking to upgrade the rims and these look great.

Really? That's so interesting. I've seen dozens and dozens of E61 M-Sports and this is the first odd ball CCC/CIC combo. Nice to know others are out there.

These wheels are from an F15 5 series M-Sport. I forget the style number, but that should put you on the right track. Fitment up front is great, the rears needed a 10mm space to better match the fronts.

Dave, we spoke awhile ago on garageJournal. I thought this is the one you planned to keep what happened?

You’re not alone - I’ve had a few of our GJ brethren reach out to see if I’ve completely lost my mind. Short answer - probably!

I’ve owned 53 BMWs in the last 15 years - which just means I’m good at three things:

1) Car buying/selling logistics
2) Losing money
3) Justifying every purchase/sale

I told myself that I needed the E61, and while I said I wanted it to share daily duties with the E53 4.8iS, I really wanted the E61 to win out and make the X5 feel like the obvious sale. It went the opposite way. The E61 has been well cared for and has been enthusiast owned, no doubt. But the ownership history on the E53 is next level - 140k miles on it but essentially drives and feels like a 4 year old car with 40k miles. I just couldn’t justify letting that one go.

But I’m also facing a financial reality - one kid in college, one 18 months out. So one daily and one fun car (plus my old truck) is the path forward. The X5 wins on daily duty and the ‘94 Avus 840 wins on the fun car side. That means the E61 and the Avus M3 must go. I’d love to sell the M3 to someone I know, so I might have a chance of coming back to it. The 840 will eventually get sold to a previous owner who is a good friend, so it’s definitely possible the M3 could return. We’ll see.

I get it. Tough when you put priorities ahead of Want's as they should realistically lose. College arg that's a pricey thing.

Back on topic...

Man... I had been going back and forth with the seller. Even took the car and did a PPI. Was planning to go back with cash and buy it. If the buyer of this wagon is somehow on here or if anyone sees this wagon (WBAUU3C53BA542220) again I'm willing to make it worth their while financially. Its a 95% dream spec for me.....

If anyone knows of a similar one (even without ACC) I am interested! Love the color and the options.

Hey guys, picked up an LCI E91 a few months ago that’s been N54 swapped by a gentleman out of Michigan who does a lot of these swaps. All the major N54 issues have been addressed.

Auto, AWD, N54

Saddle interior, double hump, aluminum cube interior (added recently, after pics), h/k, m sport, rear shades, xenon headlights.

I am a small dealer owner/operator in Pennsylvania. I have been a member here for many years before starting my dealership. Figured I’d post to see if anyone here has interest in my E91.

Mileage on the N54 and stock turbo's? Chassis Vin and maybe Engine Vin You know the normal questions will arise.

Turbos are stock and stock tune. I do not know the vin of the doner car. The mileage was around 90k on the doner car when swapped. 12k miles have been added since. So the engine mileage almost matches the chassis.

Pretty car btw, enjoy it.
The dealer allowed me to make a refundable deposit, that’s why I made a deposit without negotiating a price…
We went & saw the car in person & drove it, we opted to pass on the car & the dealer refunded me the deposit. 🤙🏼
The dealer was very nice!

this is why I left the 335 VIN on my E91 modules

donor had 115k km, E91 has 270k km , lol.

anyway was easier to swap the comfort access from the donor and keeping the 335 VIN to make keys at the dealer, since my E91 has no comfort.

speaking of the 535 a page back, reminds me few years ago, found a med/high mileage, same spec , with M pack, BUT 6mt. Guy was asking the ''rare-tax'' so I skip it thinking I could find an other. What a huge mistake
