amazing car.. however those 2 are probably some of the last 2 people i'd want to be in a car ride with... one of these guys likely should no longer be driving given his recent history and the other guy is someone that relies more on shock factor than journalism

FWIW, the YT channel Stanceworks (sp?) is or has done a recent 3-series touring import and build..... didn't watch it yet, just saw title.

Watched this yesterday. I normally can't deal with Cammisa's antics, but I think being around Jay Leno forced him to keep that stuff in check. It's a decent watch. Not great, but decent.

So on a scale of Schmee and movie Senna, this is somewhere in the middle, you say?

Couple of clicks above Schmee, still miles away from Senna but what isn't other than the greatest movie ever made which of course is Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This cannot be debated.

I lost all interest in Jason when he blatantly sold out for Tesla at the cybertruck launch. Maybe I’ll watch this on mute.

Those "antics" are just his personality. I've met him - years ago when the scirocco.org group was still a thing. He's genuine as they come.

Schmee lol. I kinda like the guy - but jeez all his cars are exotics or beyond, makes me feel like a damn peasant to even try to watch one of his videos.

Then I loathe his personality and refuse to watch his videos.

He does seemed toned down in the little bit of this video I saw.

FWIW you can see Camissa’s personality in this video, as well as some behind the scenes looks at his garage setup. It’s an awesome fix of a banged up M5.

m539 has amazing videos.

Great find here. Jay Leno has seen & experienced more than most car lovers could ever know. He's a plethora of car knowledge & despite what some of the hater in this post might say... Jay & Jason are both stand up guys to the masses.

Tim off camera and from what I know is an incredibly hard working guy. I for sure dont mean to say bad about him personally. Not a fan of content or format but seen him in more serious podcasts etc he looks to be a genuine nice guy, and I wish him well.

To me it looks like most youtubers be it Doug or Matt Armstrong or Stradman or what have you get real bit of hate once they make it big. I mean whats the big deal, here I am liking cars and can totally do what they do, yet they get all the money and fame, not fair - seems to be the common thought behind the hate. I get it, but its off.

If Sreten (who is universally liked) gets bigger he too will find hate here for whatever BS reason forum people hate content creators.

If you want to see deep Camisa - see what he thinks about the recent podcast of Harris on Rogan. Really struck a cord with me when he describes certain things that went down there, and that podcast got rave reviews I recall.

That was a great video. While it is quite evident Leno and Cammisa are on different levels of automotive ownership (who really is with Leno) there was purpose on Leno's question regarding BMW's current offerings of manual transmissions. I think Cammisa wanted to make the statement a lot of us think and feel, which is BMW should still offer non-///M, naturally aspirated sports sedans and sports coupes.

Cammisa's reply back that the current offerings of mega-powered turbo'd inline-6, while mostly not suffering turbo lag (cough-cough), are no replacement for a naturally aspirated inline-6 mated to a ZF or Getrag manual.

Having been an original 18-year owner of a 1989 E30 325i manual, like Cammisa eluded to, running a M20 through its paces between 4,200 and 6,200 RPM on a back country road is an indescribably wonderful experience. It's like running a Honda 4-cylinder Vtec yet with a several octaves lower of torque, but with far better sound. The mechanical noises an M20 makes just at idle is worth the price of admission. At full song no other post-M20 NA BMW 6 comes near the music. I've owned the M54 and both versions of the N52, so I have first-hand understanding (the N52 is close). The price you pay for the tunes is mechanical valve lash adjustment with the M20. The payback though is the personal connection you get with the engine, on a warm Saturday afternoon, having to open up the cambox every 30,000 miles, pull the plugs and rotate the crank (no Jesus bolt here) and dial in the lash with the concentric adjuster.

This is why new cars are boring. EV's...
