Claying the windshield

I clayed my car 2 weeks ago and loved the results, now I want to do the windshield. What kind of lubricant do I use on the windshield ? Do I use windex or soap and water ?? Just wondering what the detailers use.

Thanks

QD might leave residue on the windshield, plain old soap/water might be a better, more cost-effective solution.

Just use Invisible Glass after the QD to get rid of any residue.

IS there any benefit to clay the windshield. I mean i dont think contaminants embed themeselves in glass like they do in the clear?

it sure does! clay your windsheild and you will see how much crap comes off in the clay! it also makes your wipers not smear as much

It surprised me the first time I clayed my windshield at all the crap it pulled off after I had just washed the entire car. Ever since that first experience I now clay windshields too.

Try it after your next wash.
