Rear footwell lights LED swap DIY
For starters, take a small, flat screwdriver and gently pry the lens cover off from the side. It should eventually pop out.
Then use the screwdriver to push down on the casing inside the console, that should pop out as you gently pry around it. Then disconnect the wire for the light. You then have little clips inside the housing to gently press to separate the grey piece from the black. Once out, you may GENTLY use a needle nosed pliers to pull the bulbs out on either side. Then GENTLY press the metal contacts closer together, and work your LED slowly in, separating the plastic clips on either side until it slides in snug. Be sure the LED contacts are aligned with the filament clips. Finally, pop the housing back in the console, and the lens. Voila! Pictures below. You don't need to pry off the lens. You can just pull the whole unit out and then separate the,

Guys, I have replaced all the interior lights in my E92 but I can't find any rear footwell lights for sale (the seller on ebay sent me everything except for these). Any idea where I can buy those (4x T5/74 wedge I think)? (Direct link would be appreciated). Preferably Chinese or something like that (because they have everything for a couple of dollars with free postage).
So far I found only this - will it fit? http://dx.com/p/t5-74-0-2w-18lm-1-x-...4#.UyBRf_l5Ph4 [edit] Yes, these do fit and I have already replaced the bulbs in my E92. Many thanks for the instructions in the first post. My whole card interior is now lit by white LED lights and it all cost probably only $35 or something.
