JB3 PNP review...much props to Terry

Ok so forget that this thing is like $400 less then V3. Forget that it delivers what it promises...a lot more power with stock smoothnesss. Forget that its a piece of cake to install. This is what amazed me the most about my JB3 expierence...
Even though its easy to install like a moron I switched around some connectors, car wouldnt start and I was scratching my head. I call this guy at 11pm eastern time and he picks up, while out to dinner with his family and walks me through what to check until we figured out what I messed up. I hear the waitress in the background taking orders from people and this guy is taking his time while he's out to personally help one of his customers. I run a business myself and that to me speaks volumes about him and his company. I dont post much and I didnt think I would even bother with a review but after that I figured I had to post.

That is the difference between BMS and "other" companies.....

Ive emailed him several times before i even got my jb2 asking him questions. He ALWAYS responded to my emails within a few hours most within the hour even when i had no intentions of getting a tune yet. After having the jb2 and now the JB3 terry puts out a great product at a great price with phenominal customer service.

Times have changed... Things are so different from Nov, 2006 to now. Good to hear.

Competition is always good for the consumer. No two products are identical; each has their own positive and negative attributes. While the JB3 and Terry @ BMS seem to provide a very stable and powerful PnP piggyback tune combined with excellent customer service, the PROcede v3 PnP provides similar results with the capability for continuous upgrades and user-defined functionality and scaling. I for one am glad we all have decent tuning options for our cars, and it's only taken <2 years...when you think about it in the grand scheme of things, it hasn't really been that long since the N54 engine (in the 335i) was first introduced!

Good times!

Not only does the JB3 have great customer service around it, but the shipping is just rediculous. How the hell USPS gets my brother's JB3 from CA to PA in TWO DAYS is beyond me. So, yeah, he got notification that it arrived in my town at 5 AM this morning, which likely means it's being delivered to his house about...now. FAAANTASTIC...I'm stuck at work, it's raining, and I will be at Rolex Vintage tomorrow (I suppose that's a vaild excuse). The package will likely sit until Monday

edit: I'm impatient and installed it for him tonight.

True, but no real user-defined scalability via computer software, etc.

We may add it in the future. The device supports it, would need to
write the end user software and interface. Or maybe a custom mapping
program. Lots of options now with the programmable platform, and being
able to hold 4 maps on the unit and toggle between them with a
hardwire or wireless switch (coming soon) is neat.
