ED e92 335i northeast (depending on prices when they come out and what kind of a deal we can get).

actually they truck your car over but I understand where you were coming from.

Guys, let me know if you want me to approach my local dealership/CA as well. My CA does standard $500 over invoice deals all day (no b.s. tactics/fees) so that would be a good start.

Sooo tempted to jump in for an e92 328i now

Cool. I will definitely get in touch when prices are (finally) released. How much lower is ED invoice usually than ED MSRP?

Are you sure they will be doing ED on the 335 outside of the dealers allocation? I know on M cars, and 6 series they come out of their allocation for ED. Might want to check to be sure. The group buy idea sounds like a great idea though, as long as the person setting it up is a good negotiator you could end up with a fantastic deal.

I thought it was but invoice normally reflects the obligatory BMW Destination charge while wholesale is pure car cost/price...

For niche/specialty models it does come out of their allocation but for volume models such as the e90, e91 and I presume the e92/e93 that follows, its ouside of the dealers' allocation. This is to the best of my knowledge...

I believe the 335 e92 will be treated as a volume model...but please confirm before you proceed, you raised a valid point.

Ya, Just ment it as something you might want to check out. Seems like the 335 is on kind of a fine line between a niche car and a volume car. There are at least a couple dealers who frequent the boards here, and I know there are quite a few over on bimmerfest so you could probably PM them.

If you think you might be in the market for a bimmer this fall, send a note to this thread with area, and we will see if there is enough interest in any of the groups. Then each of us can approach (via email or walk-in) dealers locally and see what pricing they will work with. This may be tough, and it may boil down to local dealers matching the group offer. Seems worthwhile to give it a try, especially for ED.
