Brakes sticking!

Has any one experienced this?
I can stop at a red light or a stop sign and when I let off the brake to press the gas the brakes will stay engaged for about 1 full second. Ideas?
I have had the same squeak and squeal at low speeds that alot of you have had. could these be related?
I did some searching and if I missed the thread could some one point me to it.

That is your takeoff assist....that is designed for when you are on a hill you can ease into the throttle and you wont roll back while your transitioning your foot from the gas to the brake...and it should be about a full 2 seconds....its actually nice on hills and what not but in my opinion its kinda intrusive...it makes a start really jerky sometimes...if you work with it and play with you can get used to it and make a decent takeoff but sometimes its a lil too much

the cool part is that it works in reverse as well....and the squeaky brakes issue...well welcome to the world

I thought I read everything about the car. Missed that part. Now that i am aware of it not being a malfunction i'll play with it and get used to it.
Thanks for the info

Shouldn't the takeoff assist only function while you are on a hill?

This "grabby" brake issue has been described in several threads and apparently relates to the "Comfort Stop" feature in these cars. Some people have said that it can be dissabled while others claim it is fixed in newer software updates. I have yet to get confirmation on either way. Hopefully someone with knowledge of this will provide some insight.
