Why not just drive on clear days if you don't wanna park it away?

Some self storage places allow cars to be stored. Bloomington Self Storage at Bloomington Rd just E of Bayview is one. A 10X20 drive-in unit with roll up door goes for around $200+ a month. No electric receptacle, just a ceiling light fixture. Unheated.

I was originally planning on driving it...I even have brand new kick ass performance winter tires, but I decided I dont want to expose my car to the crazy amount of salt we poor on the street in winter. Looks like Ill be selling my winters and runflats/189 wheels.

Security is about the same as in an apartment building - you punch in your own code to open the gate to get in, under the watchful eyes of a camera, and the gate closes as soon as it finishes opening. Betond that it is only a metal roll up door and a pad lock, unless you rig the car with your own devices. That actually is no more risky than the garage in your own house. Insurance wise as long as you do not cancell your compensive coverage in you are covered. New BMW's are one of the hardest to steal, second only to Mercedes. With the factory immobilizer electronics the thief pretty much have to show up with a flatbed to take the car away.
