FS: KUDA GPS Mount with Garmin Adapter
For sale is the Kuda GPS mount for the E90/E91/E92. Its black in color and very similarly textured to the dashboard. Most people have no idea its not "part of the car." It is completely removable and installs with nearly no tools in less than 5 minutes (just need to carefully remove dash speaker grille and front dash trim.) I used it for approx. 3 months until I realized I had to retrofit i-drive. It currently has the optional $29.50 Garmin (ball) adapter mounted on it, which I used with my Nuvi. Put this fine dash mount to use on your car! $65.00, shipped (in U.S.) |

I didn't retrofit the Garmin - I retrofitted the entire idrive system and dashboard. Refer to this link:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131416 When I used this Kuda mount, I ran the wire from the stock Garmin mount behind the BMW dash trim, over and behind the glovebox, and plugged the cigarette lighter plug into an adapter I purchased that went into the glovebox-flashlight socket. It was a clean install. |

Yes. The bottom holes will show. That first picture was taken off this site, as I had no pictures showing the Garmin mounted. Here is a side view of a similar picture, also found on this site. As you can see, if you don't use the ball adapter and just screw the mounting plate to the mount, the bottom holes will show and the viewing angle will be fixed.
It can be mounted this way, but the ball adapter that comes with this Kuda mount snaps into the back of the Garmin mounting plate, so it swivels around and can be "pointed" at the driver - actually its a very nice setup for a portable Nav. I stole this second picture from this site also, which shows the setup I am selling, ready to go for the Garmin. I just fished the cord from the mounting plate behind the dash trim for an extremely "clean" look. |
