Damaged Alum. Strut From Dealer. Should I buy? (PICS)

Hey everyone. Check it out and let me know if I should buy this. Parts guy says some goo gone should work fine. It's residue left over from the packaging they received it in from BMW. Because it's damaged, he say's he'll give it to me for $240.00. HE say's there are no scratches, just some glue residue.

It will clean up easy, but you can get the bar for 235 from Tischer, so he isn't doing you any favors on the price!

Five dollar difference? Big deal. He can pick it up right away and clean it.
