Exhaust problem: Exhaust tone gone?
Hey everyone. I recently had an Eisenmann quad exhaust put on which sounded amazing. Yesterday while under heavy acceleration, I heard a loud backfire which resulted in my exhaust tone now pretty much gone. While idling it still sounds deep however under wide open throttle the tone is just non existent.
I figured I would ask the experts around this section for a little help on the issue as to what could of gone wrong, so thank you in advance! Any thoughts? |

I'm not certain of the interior construction of the Eisenmann exhaust but if I had to guess, the backfire probably repositioned and/or blew out some of the baffles or mesh material in the muffler.
Just speculation but keep driving it and give it some more revs, see if it returns to normal. I would also contact your sales rep that you bought it from. |
