Rear bumper repair
I am so pissed
![]() Someone backed into my rear bumper in a parking lot and deformed it slightly. It's hardly noticeable but annoying as hell. Right in the middle under the license plate the shape is slightly raised and not flat like on either end and there are a couple of hairline scratches. My first question is can the shape be straightened out, I am not concerned about the scratches or should I call them cracks as they appear right where the deformation is as I assume those can be buffed quite easily. My second question is can someone recommed a decent detailing/repair shop in the Atlanta area either at a dealer or a third-party that can possibly make the necessary repairs. Thanks in advance for any input. Edit: Worst case scenario - what is the cost of a total replacement, it's an E92 MY 2008. Last edited by shakan; 12-12-2008 at 05:19 PM.. |

I talked to a Paintless Dent Repair guy before and he said that because the bumper is plastic, there's nothing he can really do to repair it. I know how you feel though. I had a similar issue on my e46 and it bugged the heck out of me.

So a complete change then? I will wait for the end of the lease then, since I may get hit again and don't want to replace it more than once.
