JB3 1.2beta Map 6 vs Race Map
Terry has been kind enough to let me beta test many maps but this Map 6 is going to be my "Mistress for X-Mass." I have all bolt ons and finally some good 93 octane combined with 50 degree weather, this map is down right nasty! I tested the 1.1v race map on 100 octane, which is the same 1.2 race map, and I honestly prefer the map 6. I love the lag fix but there is a whole lot more "life" in this map 6 than just the lag fix. Yeah i like the high end of the race map and it may actually be quicker but it certainly does not feel like it, especially down low. The low end reminds me of the JBXR excpet the JBXR would hall butt to a certain point and the rest was just noise. The map 6 has enough torque to simmulate wiplash from a F22. I absolutely love it, no I really do. All the maps are simply fantastic and I know some people are purely motivated by quarter mile times but I'm going to have to go with the one that puts that devilish grin on my face. That's map 6! Thanks to Terry and BMS.

I think the beta guys laugh a little inside knowing they have the tune earlier than the masses, but god bless 'em for willing to iron out all the kinks before I get the goods!

Map 6 is meaty even on 91 octane. Probably feels better on 93.
Map 4 is meaty smooth on 91 octane. Map 7 is fast and linear smooth on 100 octane. Given 91 is readily available, map 4 is my favorite map.

I need to have quite a speed to not to have traction problems in this cold weather. I can hardly test the different maps and tunes, but that's what I'm going to do soon in a fast closed track. However, for any practical purposes for the cold weather areas the power levels of the current maps is as much as traction can handle.

I do like getting the maps sooner but there certainly is a great deal of work being done. i personally would not laugh at others, especially fellow JB family members.
Yep I hate the traction problem on these cars. They should sell them with slicks as standars. HAHA! |
