I debagded it with the blow dryer technique and floss ( This is one way to do it i was told...) So... the problem:mad: I debagded the 325i, and.....theres a sun spot or whatever....you can see it say 325i when your in the light, because the paint around the letters been i nthe sun, so it seems that it is a bit faded from the where the letters were on...you guys see what i mean...? ![]() NOW!!...ANOTHER!!! ![]() As i was taking off the I, i got it off, but theres a this really hard little round peice of plastic.... about 2 mm in diamter. and and below that, is another, what seems to be another peice of plastic on where the I used to be.... I tried Goof off like, goo gone or whatever its called, and i sat there blowing drying my car...and its still on.... I dunno what to do? Should i take it to the body shop??? ![]() PLEASE HELP!!! it sounds like you need to polish the area with some non-abrasive polish to aid.

you can probably use Meguiar's Soft Scrub. I think it works well.
BTW, I did not use Goo Gone, nor do I reccomend people using such harsh chemicals on their ride! I'm not a detail expert by ANY means, but I've used Goo Gone for years, and find it to be pretty strong. You can just blow dry it, floss, and use a lot of water and a cotton rag to take the 'gum' off.

I removed mine on my black, I could also see the numbers still, I just got some wax I had, waxed it off a few times. I could still see dirt attach to it while driving. In about 2-3 days it was gone on its own.

Thanks Alot for the input guys. unfortunately i had to bring it to the aut body shop and get it wet sanded and painted again, BECAUSE!! there was some glue on there, actual cement like glue so i couldn't get it off. This is so gay too, because when i first got the car, maybe like a couple weeks later the "i" started to peel off, so my father took it to the dealers when I was away, and i guess they decided to glue it...(idiots)
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() but yea, none-the-less thank you guys for your input and such its good to have other peoples opinions and what not. Thanks again

It doesn;t matter what type of glue it is, any adhesive will breakdown when used with the right solvent. Wetsanding, repainting, or even buffing to remove adhesive is like using a canon to shoot a fly. No need...
Oh well. |

well the "i" was falling off a couple weeks after i got it, and i should've jsut taken off the 325i then, but my dad saw it and brought it to BMW, and they GLUED it on....and it was lke cement glue. Usually its a double sided form tape, but instead i guess they decided to glue it so it wont fall off... thats why my stuff was all weird, but now its fine
