I see a few western Chicago suburbanites on here so I thought I'd share this.

I was driving south on 294 from O'Hare, merged to I88 west. After the tollbooth I was in the center/right lane (if you drive this you probably understand) . There's a huge indentation that's not really a pothole, but geez when you hit it it's one of those that you think you just f*cked up your suspension. My V1 came crashing down from the windshield.

After 2+ years you'd think I'd be used to these runflats. The only thing you get used to is the fact nothing really happens when you do hit one of these things. But man it can blow your passenger away.

Wow, I know exactly where you mean! I've hit this a couple times (not by choice), and each time I started cursing. My wheels and suspension were OK though, but I wouldn't risk it anymore if I could. It actually looks like a sewer cover where the concrete after that raises a couple inches instantly.

I believe it's in the center lane (out of 3)

dude its not the runflats... its the fucking roads.

i had this happen to me TWICE on I90 westbound around huntley on my way back up to madison... my fuckin x50 made friends with my lap (not in a friendly stripper kind of way) on both occasions. I ended up stopping at the Belvedere oasis to check to make sure I didn't fuck anything up

On a related note...from the northwest suburbs, I have a planned pothole free route to work daily. Yes, its about 10 minutes longer, but it has a combined grand total of 3 potholes on the way, and I know where they are

This city is like a 3rd world country with the roads. I bet they're better in the Ukraine.
