I'm an Si owner, on 30k now and due its first service for plugs etc.

I also have the cold morning starting problem and was going to get them to look at it when its in for service - does anyone have any tips as to what it might be?

Seems to take around 20-30 seconds to start up when its been frosty or very damp and cold.

I would change the sparks 1st as I noticed it went away soon after the sparks but came back again.

If you search the forum you'll find the problem and resolution.
My pistons had odd markings and valves had "issues" so were replaced with the top of the engine - seven weeks in the garage.

It only happened as I hassled everyone involved in the chain for supplying my lease car including BMW CEO Germany!

I think mine started it around 15k miles 6mths old. It's now 64k 29mths old.
As its 6mths more I'm looking what to get next - unfortunately BMW's are too much on car scheme at work (£600+ pcm incl my allowance - At the moment I pay 455pcm ) So i'm looking elsewhere unless anyone knows a good deal....

Hell that's me stuffed too in 18 months. What car grade are you Shere? I am a 6 and only pay £455 for the 335d including the leather etc!
