Fuel system upgrade??
Just wondering if anyone have a solution for the HPFP and direct-injection injectors? The fuel system seem to be the handicap for the 335/135. I think once there's a solution for it, the hp game will be wild.

You would think there would be
I emailed a company that makes fuel pumps for evos , Walbro they said "we have no interest in making a fuel pump for the n54 or any BMW and a custom application is simply out of the question" real dicks... hope someone else does... maybe AR design, AMS, someone

Walbro makes one of the best fuel systems out there.Used them in both my Evo,s,and everyone i know with a serious high Hp and Trq. import uses them also. I cant see them just turning a blind eye to the N54.I,m willing to bet that in a short time AMS will come out with a solution to the fuel system in the N54.They have to if they are coming out with an uograde to the turbo,s (Turbo) for our cars.

There is zero solid data proving the fuel system is anywhere near its limits, IMO. And FWIW, Walbro pumps suck - a Bosch, Weldon etc would be a far better choice.

Try aeromotive. Im sure AMS and ASR are both working on something if the limits of the stock system haven't been reached. I think it might take a while since for fuel upgrades sonce the N54 uses an all new fuel ststem with piezo-style injectors and DI. The fuel pressures are uncomparable to conventional fuel systems. There aren't any injector upgrades since the technology is so new. IMO, only time will tell.

The fuel pump is probably a much bigger issue since it's apparently built to unreal tolerances and the aftermarket need for them at the moment probably wouldn't justify the expense required to design and produce it. I know the DI audis have an aftermarket (rebuilt?) pump available so who knows. BB
