The Evo dp install compared to the 335i could be done blindfolded.I did the DP,s on my Evo.s on a lift in a half hour taking my time. From what i have been reading about the DP install on the BMW there is no comparison.Much easier on the Evo,s and Subys.

i helped my cousin do his on STI... and compared to the 335i.. its way way more simple... more space.once a few things are out of the way... and not too much work under the car

Evo is much easier, just a couple bolts and it fall out the bottom of the car. The 335 took me 3-4 hours the first time on a lift just taking my time and poking around down there while I had a lot of the hardware out of the way.

so could you say that more than 50% of the TOTAL INSTALL TIME would be trying to get the V-band clamps on each of the DP?
so removing stock DP is not time consuming but having to CLAMP IT ON is whats takes the longest?

Evo DP is the easiest thanks to the simplicity of just two spring bolts and no under body work. Well at least for those of us that take it off an throw it away
![]() Sti is a little bit of a hassle since taking the stock piece off is a PIDA. Too many heat shields and one of the bolts is hard as hell to get to. It shouldn't take more than 2 hours for a novice though. From what I heard from a couple of shops that have done the 335 install (these were mainly evo/sti/240sx/2jz shops), they said that it is a bitch thanks to all the shit you gotta take off and tight tolerances.
