420 miles from a brimmed tank doesn't sound like 20's MPG to me - I get just over 400 miles out of a remapped 330d and that equates to 38mpg ish.

How do you work out you get 38mpg???

62 litre tank (i think) = 13.6 gallons.

400 miles/13.6 gallons = 30mpg.

When I say 400 miles, thats when I generally fill up - probably with 50-70 miles in reserve

38mpg is what the OBC says

OK....

454 miles

filled up with 58.26 litres or 12.81 gallons.

454/12.81 = 35.44 mpg = Pretty Pish tbh

Jinjur get an OBD reader. You only get a few valuable readings such as coolant temp, boost pressure, and intake temp after IC, but this is good info one can compare.

I get 50mpg average (5.4 ltrs/100) , 35mls to the office, 35 mls back, first 15 mls easy, then 85-90mph. And drive 'spirited' in the few fast corners i have, DTC off for sure in the wet

I just calculated 235 miles out of half a tank IE 30 litres.

6.6 gallsons so 235/6.6 = 35.6

Over 100 of these miles were motorway cruise miles so I think I've proven that my MPG is considerably down on what it should be. Also the OBC agrees with the actual readout very accurately...

I've just put 58 litres in so will post figures in about a week when this runs out as well to confirm.

Can't be bovvered to read back - yours is a 163, right?

I haven't checked but the computer on mine usually hovers around 43, and says 47 after a long motorway run.
