Help!

I'm going to install aftermarket head unit...Alpine..but the dealer told me if I install...my bluetooth wont work anymore and the after market one dont have any of thoes functions.....any ideas?? or did anyone install a head unit with bluetooth function? Thanks

If you remove the MID, you will lose access to a lot of your car´s functions, not just Bluetooth.

so based on what JSpira said, we should not change our head unit? Personally, I like my logic 7 for now. Oh, and I just love my bluetooth.

Just look in the owner's manual and see what the MID controls. Bluetooth is one of several functions. Setting the clock would be another.

your head unit can put out enough.. you wont be missing if you do not do the switch, its part of the brain of the car and it can handle good sound.
you will miss out, if you switch.

You could possibly add an ADDITIONAL head unit and have the best of both worlds.
