Man, how many door dings did you routinely get? You might wanna think about finding a new grocery store or mall or something! Maybe some airbags for the exterior?

Only one. But it wasn't my car actually. It was in my friends car and I suggested what I told you guys here and it worked. Got the guys insurance and all.

That's just dropping to the level of the loosers that vandelize cars. I would never key someone elses car, no matter how much of a piece of shit it was or how pissed off they got me. It wasn't the cars fault afterall, it was the driver's. So take it up with the driver---key him.

I'm glad I found this post because my wife thinks I have a terrible case of OCD. I have watched many people just swing, kick, or fling thier doors with no consideration of what might be on the other side. Teachers and kids are by far the worst offenders(I know..my wife and I are teachers). They usually have a bag or two in thier hands and a cell phone in the other. They open and close doors with their legs. I get nervous everyday just parking in my lot. I try to time my arrival and departure around certain teachers schedules, beacuse I can guarantee if I park next to one of them they will scratch or dent my new baby. My wife's three year old minivan looks like it's been to Iraq from all the door dings and scratches (coutesy of her fellow teachers). She can't understand why I'm apprehensive about letting her take my car her school.

This thread is funny in a way.
I get all steamed up but not just about people in parking lots but about my wife and son.
My wife (I gues rightfully so) yelled at me because I yelled at my son to be more careful with the other cars door slamming into mine. My feeling is simple.. respect other peoples properties.
My son is only 7 and he doesn't fully understand that concept so he just cried (yes I felt bad).
Now I have a small dent on my rear door and several scratches on the passenger side doors (thanks hun).
What can I do... get a divorce and disown my kid because of a couple of accidents?

The thing is, if you key the car of the person that dings you and you get caught ... uh oh. Too much exposure while you're doing it. Plus, if it's a beater, they're not gonna care/notice. What they usually *will* notice is a flat frickin tire. Cause the beater drivers don't have spare coin for a new tire. I manically cackle at the thought of how that must ruin their day.

I'll deny it if questioned, but I've been known to bend down to "inspect" the door ding somebody's left me and slash a tire. Only if I can be 95% certain that person did it. I usually go with reasonable doubt, but sometimes it's so blatantly obvious that they did it on purpose to be a dick.

The absolute worst was a middle aged, fake titty thinking she was hot old wrinkle bish at the gym. I'm sitting in my car on a call, she pulls up in her tahoe, way too close, opens her door into the side of my car and proceeds to root around for her bag. Meanwhile the door is scraping the shit out of my paint. So of course I get out and do a, 'wtf lady'. I'm passive agressive like most PacNWers so I'm saying it with a smile on my face trying to diffuse the situation a little; bring some levity. She looks at me, looks at the door, pulls it back and then BANGS it into the side of my car. Gives me the finger, tells me to f$ck off and she's going inside to get her (middle age balding huge upper body and little chicken legs probably) BF to come kick my ass.

She got two flat tires.

Ohhhhhhhhhh! It'd be ON LIKE DONKEY DONK if that happened to me. I'd grab a stick of TNT out of my trunk and rig the fuse and light it just as I speed away. Wouldn't she be surprised. But, no really, I'd probably park behind her car so that she couldn't get out and call the police. If she ended up backing up into your car several times to move it out of the way, she'd be in so much trouble that she'd probably serve some jail time for that kind of hit and run. Oh, and I've got big ass huge upper body man deterent too. It's called a can of tear gas fogger pepper spray that marks the victim with permenant ink when sprayed.
