Colors on Maps in I-Drive

Is there any way to change the color of the roads on the maps? I don't like how the main roads are yellow and all the other sides streets seem to be a gray that matches very closely with the blue background.

Not very good planning on BMW's part if they didn't think this out.

Also why does the map not show water?

In the 09 idrive, you can switch to night mode. There is more contrast between the colors. Not sure about the water part. I see water on mine. Even in places back behind trees and neighborhoods where I didn't know there was water! I live in the D.C. area and travel to the bay. Plenty of opportunities for water to be displayed.

It sounds like you might have Traffic Maps checked in Map Options. This presents a sort of grayish map rather than a multi-color map. You can still get traffic info without this option being checked. It's not clear to me what the advantage of Traffic Maps is supposed to be.
